Philip is the owner of Wessex Denture Studio and one of the UK's first registered clinical dental technicians. Philip has been in the dental industry for over 35 years.
Melanie is a qualified dental technician with over 25 years of experience, starting as an apprentice for Philip. She is skilled in all aspects of denture fabrication and repair. Frances is the Office Manager and Receptionist, providing a warm and friendly welcome to patients that puts even the most anxious at ease.

Philip qualified at the prestigious George Brown University in Canada and was proud to register with the Royal College of Surgeons not long after it became legal for dental technicians to work directly with the public. our consultation process
At your consultation, Philip will talk to you about your existing dentures. Any information that you can give us at this stage is invaluable. Things for you to think about before you attend the consultation include
1 Are there any problems with your current dentures?
2 Are there any improvements you would like to make to your dentures?
3 Are you happy with the colour, shape, size and position of your teeth?
4 Does your existing set of dentures allow you to speak clearly?
5 Are you able to eat comfortably, what types of food cause problems if any?
6 Are there things about your denture that you like and would, if possible, like replicate in a new set?
Philip will then assess your existing teeth for fit and function. He will then talk to you about the types of dentures and materials most suitable for you. The consultation is free and has no obligation. At the end of the discussion, you are free to go home and think about it, or perhaps discuss your options with family. For those who wish to start immediately, Philip will start the process by taking the impressions necessary to start treatment.
